Ingredients of Instant pot sambar rice / sadham

  1. Prepare 1/2 cup of rice.
  2. You need 1/4 cup of toor dhal.
  3. You need 1/4 tsp of tamarind paste.
  4. It's 1.5 tbsp of sambar powder.
  5. It's 2 tbsp of oil and ghee.
  6. You need 2 cups of water.
  7. You need 1 of onion.
  8. Prepare of Veggies of your choice.
  9. Prepare To taste of Salt.

Switch off the saute mode and close the pot with the lid. Sambar sadam is very delicious and quick to make recipe that is loaded with veggies. This one pot dish needs no introduction it is super easy to make. I used all the same ingredients to make this sambar sadam in instant pot and it tasted absolutely yummy and was ready in no time it was made in INSTANT POT.

Instant pot sambar rice / sadham step by step

  1. Soak rice and dhal with turmeric in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Turn on sauté mode and add oil and chop onion.
  3. Add onion and sauté. Make sure it’s hot and then add veggies and sauté for few minutes.
  4. Now add bisibelabath powder and water.
  5. Now add tamarind paste, rice and dhal. Add salt to taste and close the lid and keep in sealing mode.
  6. Now set manual mode and set time to 14 minutes.
  7. Let it normal pressure release. Add ghee now and check salt and serve hot with chips.

Instant Pot Sambar Sadam Rice Recipe with Millets Drain all the water and add both rice and dal in a pressure cooker. Method: Wash rice and dal well in lots of water. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add in the tempering ingredients and saute for a min. Now add in onions, tomatoes and toss well.
